Maddy Feshler, LPC

Connecticut Telehealth Team (She/Her)

I’m Maddy, a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Southern CT State University. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming counselor who is committed to providing equitable mental health care that is grounded in social justice.

Using a holistic approach, I will help guide you in identifying and applying your strengths to various areas of your life. I value the therapeutic alliance and emphasize creating space for clients to self-empower and flourish, and on this therapeutic journey, I will walk alongside you as you embark on this next step in your journey. You are never alone, and I believe that everybody has a unique and beautiful story to tell. To help you explore the powerful mind-body connection and discover your authentic self, I incorporate into sessions techniques such as mindfulness, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy..

Working from a strengths-based, person-centered lens, I help create space for individuals to find balance in their lives, whether that be among work and life, athletics and academics, within their relationships or parenting, or anything in between. My clinical interests include athlete mental health and mental performance in sports, eating-related and body image concerns, anxiety disorders, adjusting to life stressors or transitions, relationship and communication challenges, and neurodivergence (e.g., high sensitivity, ADHD, Autism, and other sensory sensitivities).

I have a specialty in working with current and former student-athletes. As a former high school and collegiate student-athlete, I have experience with the challenges of balancing various school, sports, and life commitments. In my professional work, I help current and former student-athletes explore their experiences from new perspectives and to view themselves through a holistic and empowered lens. Together we can work on overcoming obstacles and identifying ways to apply your strengths, leading you closer to and attaining the life you want to live. Reach out to Small Victories today to book an intake with me as you take this next step to invest in yourself and your future!
